Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

Is your light shining? Is it bright, dim or even tarnished? If so, let the Holy Spirit be the Guide for your works rather than selfish ambition. Your inner energy is your light. When you are powered from Unconditional Love, you have plenty of light to share with others. Then, you will know WHO is behind ALL really good works! Be Mindful of this all throughout today. Readings from Scripture for the Holy Gram Meditation:

Galatians 2:19-20 -For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have ben crucified with Christ who now lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God., who loved me and gave himself for me. NRSV)

Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

John 12:24 –Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. (NRSV)

John 12:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. (KJV)

Insight and Guidance for the Holy Gram Meditation

DYING TO BE ME; Christian Meditation about THE “ME I AM CREATED TO BE”

I cannot be ME when I have another me fighting me to stay alive in me. Did you follow that sentence? WE all have old parts of our human condition that do battle for power within us. Yes, there is a real battle going on in me. Sometimes, I am not sure which side I want to take. I see both positions as having a point!

Do you ever feel this way? You are torn in two directions! Sometimes, you can make a case for either one and sometimes you don’t like either of them. Your outcry-“I just want to die!” Well, do it. Die to the self that you think is YOU and let God do a “make over” instead of you “doing it yourself” (DIY). New Life is free and all it takes is asking for the Helper you need to transform things. Remember, though, just like a butterfly going from worm to beautiful new form, it does not happen overnight!

You guessed it-both parts of you have to sit down and be quiet! They need Divine training from the Teacher. Childish parts need to be absorbed and trained up again in the way they need to go. Dying to self is part of being born again into a New Creature. The old self dies as the new one comes to life. The NEW ME is an updated model with great new features. The number one BEST feature is the Holy Spirit. HE takes over the old programming. HE installs a greater system that works effortlessly. After a while, you become used to this new life because it is the ONE that aligns with your true essence and the Essence of God. The compatibility is amazing! You have no resistance to dying to your old “wineskin” that blocked truth.

The process is one of joy. It actually is so much easier that you have gratitude and wonder why you waited so long to allow the upgrades to be installed. You also see what it was that made Christ say that trying to save our earthly lives would result in losing our Kingdom Lives. You cannot live on both sides because you need dependence on one Master. The old me wants to run things. The New Me (I really am becoming) knows that job was exhausting and is glad for the makeover. Go with the takeover. The change of regime gives new perspectives and perceptions. The whole life of me with the Holy Spirit of God welcomes surrender and a remake!

The Power that raised Christ from the grave is doing the same for me. It is not an option if I want to receive the new life. I have to be willing to suffer the death and continue dying to trying to live out of my human self. Reborn to the new life with Christ as my Head-Ship means I am emptied of self to enable a new leader. I am able to follow God’s Will over mine. That is great news! My will was confused from all its crazy freedoms that was seeking stuff I thought I wanted but did left me feeling empty or wanting more. What a deal! Holy Spirit knows what I want and knows what God wants and will supply all the resources to give me what I need. Now, I am awake to choose gratitude and gladness for this Redemption status of Restoration.

In the New Life, things are done with REnewed energy in mind, body and Spirit. Giving up control to the old way, Holy Spirit leads ME with ease (not with DIS_ease)!
